California, Girls: Shute is a native of Dana Point and is aprehensive of her first real winter.

Thanks, Dad: Shute credits her dad with giving her good advice for her first year of college which was to keep an even keel and not to stress too much.

Words of Wisdom: Encourages freshmen to be ready to push themselves further than they've ever gone with their first year of school.
