The Players:
Sam Bilney had her best game all season, dropping a season-high 12 points (one shy of tying career-high), grabbing five boards and recording a season-best three steals.
Abby Oliver recorded a team-best 20 points, her second team-high performance of the season. Oliver has scored 20 points or more three times this season, and scored in double-figures 10 times this season. Oliver knocked down 4-of-4 from long range, tying a career-best she previously set at GW four days earlier.
Kara Powell and Crystal Goring each had four dishes, marking a Goring career-high. Richmond recorded a season-high 18 for the game.
Brittani Shells scored 13 points, her 94th game in double figures, 14th of the season. Shells also recorded a season-high seven boards.
Becca Wann posted a career-night, scoring a personal best 11 points, off 5-for-8 shooting from the field.
Genevieve Okoro played solid minutes off the bench, grabbing a team-best 11 boards, just one shy of her career-high she recorded against Western Carolina.
The Team:
The 89 points scored was the most tallies in a win for the Spiders since a 101-57 victory over Howard Dec. 15, 2004.
The first half point total (59) was a season-high, as was the total point scored (89).
Richmond made a season-best 35 field goals and recorded a season-high 18 assists.
Richmond outrebounded the Minutewomen, 43-35 and was just two boards of tying season-high.
Richmond recorded a season-best 43 points off UMass mistakes, while the Spider bench accounted for a season-best 30 points.
