Wo Men's Soccer Travels To Nation's Capital

The Spiders, winners of nine of their last 11 games, travel to Washington, D.C. for a 3 p.m. kick against GW Saturday.
Richmond Lately: The Spiders are currently 10-4-3 overall, 4-1-1 in A-10 play. Richmond is currently second in the conference standings with 13 points. The Spiders are coming off a thrilling 1-0 win over No. 21 Dayton last Sunday. Becca Wann had the score for Richmond. Wann is the nation's sixth-leading scorer with 14 goals and ranks second for goals in a single season. It was Richmond's first win over the Flyers since 2002 and the 10 wins are the program's most since 2004.
Wann Of The Best: Wann's game-winning tally against the Flyers was her sixth this season, ranking her fifth in the nation. As previously mentioned, Wann's 14 tallies lead the team, A-10 and rank sixth nationally. Wann's 14 goals rank second for goals in a single season and she is only eight shots away from the most shots in a single season.
Road Warriors: Richmond played seven-straight on the road, going 6-1 before returning to Robins Stadium last weekend. The Spiders have outscored opponents 16-6 in the past nine games. Richmond went 2-0 in the UNC-W Invitational, taking home the crown, while Wann came away with Most Valuable Player honors.
Home Is Where The Wins Are: Richmond improved to 5-0-2 at home after tying Xavier and downing No. 21 Dayton, 1-0 last weekend. The Spiders return next weekend for their final conference contests of the regular season, hosting Rhode Island Friday and UMass Saturday.
Scouting GW: The Colonials are 5-9-2 overall and 2-2-2 in league play. GW is coming off a 1-0 win in overtime over Xavier. GW is currently tied for sixth alongside St. Bonaventure with eight points.
