Spiders Travel To Philly This Weekend

The Richmond women's soccer team travels to Philadelphia for A-10 games against Temple and Saint Joseph's this weekend.
Last Time Out: Becca Wann scored twice in a 2-0 win over the Bonnies Sunday. Senior Liza Koch had both the assists. Richmond dropped its first conference game of the season, 1-0, to Duquesne last Friday.
Richmond Lately: Becca Wann tallied her conference and team-leading 10th and 11th goals of the season in a 2-0 win over St. Bonaventure Sunday. Wann has already surpassed her goal total last season (10) and is ranked ninth in the nation in goals (11), 12th in game-winning goals (4) and 13th in overall points. Not to be outdone, senior Liza Koch is tops on the team in assists (7) and 14th in the nation. Koch ranks 21st in the nation in assists per game (0.58). Richmond is 7-4-2 overall and are 1-1-0 in A-10 play.
Temple Lately: The Owls come into the contest 3-8-0 on the year and 0-2-0 in conference play. Temple dropped decisions to La Salle and Fordham it's A-10 opening weekend. Five players have tallied goals for the Owls, with Niki Conn notching a team-high two.
Last Time Around, Spiders vs. Owls: The two teams battled to a 1-1 tie in double overtime last October at Ukrop Park. Wann provided the score for Richmond.
Saint Joseph's Lately: The Hawks come into Sunday's match with a 5-4-3 overall record and a 0-1-1 mark in A-10 action. The Hawks, however, are unbeaten at home with a 2-0 mark. Saint Joe's posted a 0-0 double overtime draw with Fordham and dropped a 3-0 decision to La Salle. Mo Hawkins has a team-leading five goals for Saint Joseph's.
Last Time Around, Spiders vs. Hawks: Richmond rallied to down the Hawks, 2-1, in overtime. Wann had the equalizer in the 86th minute and the game-winner with 17 seconds left in the first overtime.
Richmond returns to Robins Stadium for a two-game home stand against Xavier and Dayton next weekend.
