
Brothers Named Atlantic 10 Player Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond guard Darien Brothers was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after averaging 31.5 points per game in two games last week.
Brothers connected on 17-of-31 (.548) from the floor and 12-of-21 (.571) from 3 as the Spiders split two games with Old Dominion and UCLA. He scored a career-high 38 points, making 9-of-15 field goals and 7-of-11 three-pointers in a 90-82 overtime win over Old Dominion. Brothers followed that up with 25 points on 8-16 FG and 5-10 3FG at UCLA on Friday.
Brothers has scored in double-figures in four-straight games and is second on the team in scoring at 13.7 points per game. He is shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 51.5 percent from behind the arc this season.
The Spiders host Liberty on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and UNC-Greensboro on Friday at 4 p.m. before opening conference play at Charlotte on Jan. 4.
