
Anthony Named A-10 Rookie Of Week Again

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Freshman Kendall Anthony was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the third time in the first four weeks of the season after averaging 19.0 points per game in helping lead the Spiders to a pair of road wins over Wake Forest and William & Mary.
Anthony scored a team-high 17 points and dished out three assists in a 92-61 win at William & Mary on Wednesday, making 5-of-7 three-pointers.
The Jackson, Tenn. followed that with a career-high 21 points in a win at Wake Forest during which the Spiders led by 23 points in the second half. Anthony was 6-of-11 from the field and 7-of-9 at the line versus the Demon Deacons.
Anthony leads the Spiders (6-2) in scoring at 15.4 points per game and is shooting 44.4 percent from three (16-of-36). He has scored in double-figures in seven of his first eight collegiate games, including four games with 17 points or more.
Richmond plays its third-straight road game and fifth-straight away from the Robins Center on Friday at city-rival VCU in the Farm Bureau Insurance Black & Blue Classic broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
