UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The Spiders defeated Southern Miss 5-2 Saturday in Richmond to record their sixth win in seven matches.
Richmond improves to 6-4 on the season.
"I thought the team looked fresh and focused after a short spring break," said head coach Mark Wesselink. We will need to bring that and more to challenge nationally ranked Maryland on Tuesday. Our doubles changes have won us three of the last four doubles points. I like the way the team handled the switches and continued to bring their best."
The Spiders continue action with nationally-ranked Maryland at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Westhampton courts.
