Men's Tennis Finishes Seventh In Atlantic 10 Tournament

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -
The Spiders fell to Charlotte, 4-3, in the consolation bracket but downed Saint Joe's 4-1 to take seventh at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Tournament at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Mo.
In the Spiders' first match, Richmond battled Charlotte but was edged 4-3. The Spiders got wins at No. 1 and 2 singles with Sebastien Fauchet and Jesse Feder picking up wins. Richmond also got the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles, but Charlotte recorded wins at No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles to take the win.
Battling for the seventh place finish was the Spiders and No. 8 Saint Joseph's with Richmond taking the spot with a 4-1 win over the Hawks. The Spiders again took the doubles point, with wins at No. 1 and 3 tandem pairs, while singles got wins with Fauchet, Feder and Zach Carl's stellar play.
Richmond ended its season with an 8-14 mark, 1-3 in A-10 action.
