Track & Field Looking For Last Chance At Aggie Invitational

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - Eleven Spiders head to Greensboro, N.C. this weekend to attend the Aggie Classic, hosted by North Carolina A&T. The meet, scheduled to begin at 11a.m. on Sunday, is designed to give athletes one final chance to qualify for the NCAA East Regionals.
In order to qualify on Sunday in their particular event, athletes must have a top 48 mark or time among East Regional participants.
Of the eight women traveling to the meet, senior X'auntasia Johnson is scheduled to participate in the triple jump, junior Meaghan McGovern will compete in the hammer throw and senior Heather Roush will participate in the discus throw competition. Junior Beth Kelly will partake in the 10,000m and freshmen Alli Mannon and Jill Prentice will run in the 1,500m. Senior Nicol Traynor and redshirt-senior Jenn Ennis are possible contestants for the 3,000m.
As for the men, senior Jon Wilson and sophomore Chris York will participate in the men's 10,000m race.
The meet will kick-off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, starting with the men's javelin competition, and is expected to conclude following the men's 10,000m at 9:15p.m. To view the complete schedule of events, click here.
