Women's Golf Season Underway At Cougar Classic

HANAHAN, S.C. -- Richmond sits 21st after Day One of the three-day Cougar Classic, which kicks off the women's golf 2011-12 season. Tracy Martin and Lauren Conder each carded 78s to lead the Spiders.
College of Charleston is hosting the event at Yeamans Hall Golf Club in Hanahan, South Carolina.
Following Martin's and Conder's 78s, Courtney Rousse fired a 79, Caroline Lovette posted an 80 and Krisitin Wright carded an 89 for the Spiders' round-one total of 315.
LSU's team total of 280 leads after round one, followed by Florida (284) and North Carolina (285).
The event continues Monday morning.
