Wann Of A Kind: Repeats As Player Of the Week

Becca Wann earned her second Player of the Week honor this season in as many weeks after scoring two goals and assisting on another in a 2-0 weekend for Richmond.
Wann scored twice in the win over No. 21 Tribe, 2-0, Thursday night at Robins Stadium. Wann led Richmond to its first win over William & Mary and first over a ranked opponent since 2009.
Wann assisted on the game-winner Sunday night in Richmond's 1-0 victory over Liberty. Jensen Smith had the tally for the Spiders.
Wann is leading the team with five goals, three assists for 13 points. Wann also leads the league in 4.71 shots per game, goals (5) and is tied for points (13).
This is the second A-10 Player of the Week honor for Wann this season, third overall. Wann was the 2010 A-10 Rookie of the Year.
Richmond is ranked seventh in the Midlantic Region in the latest NSCAA Regional Rankings. The Spiders have won two in a row and remain undefeated at home.
The Spiders hit the road for seven-straight road contests before returning to Robins Stadium Oct. 14 against Xavier.
Richmond plays in the UNC-Wilmington Invitational this weekend.
