Women's Golf Finished 21st At Cougar Classic

HANAHAN, S.C. -- Junior Tracy Martin paced the women's golf team wire-to-wire
and the Spiders improved Tuesday to place 21st at the Cougar Classic
in Hanahan, S.C.
Richmond's 18-hole team total on Tuesday of 307 at Yeamans Hall Golf Club was its low for the tournament, after a 315 Sunday and a 321 Monday.
Martin fired a final-round 71 on Tuesday and finished the tournament in a tie for 67th with her 54-hole total of 227 (78-78-71).
Lauren Conder also carded her low-round of the tournament with a 77 Monday and the sophomore finished T98 with her 54-hole score of 236 (78-81-77). Courtney Rousse posted a 239 (79-82-78), Caroline Lovette shot 242 (80-81-81) and Kristin Wright shot a 252 (89-81-82).
Richmond is next in action when its hosts The Spider at Independence Golf Club on Oct. 10-11.
