Wo Men's Soccer Plays In UNC-W Invite This Weekend

The Spiders travel to UNC-Wilmington for weekend matches against Western Carolina and North Florida.
Richmond is ranked seventh in the latest NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings poll. The Spiders hav won two-straight and remain undefeated at home.
Becca Wann earned her second Player of the Week honor in as many weeks after scoring two goals and assisting on another in a 2-0 weekend for Richmond. Wann scored twice in a thrilling win over No. 21 William & Mary, and assisted on a goal against Liberty.
Wann is leading the team with five goals, three assists for 13 points. Wann also leads the league in shots per game (4.71) and is tied for points (13). Wann's successes were recently featured in an article in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Click here to read.
Friday's game versus Western Carolina: The Catamounts sit 4-1-1 on the year and have won four of its last five matches. Western Carolina has scored four goals in back-to-back matches and is led by Kayla Beauduy's three tallies, one assist for a team-leading seven points on the season. Eleven different Catamounts have scored this season.
Sunday's game versus North Florida: The Ospreys come in at 3-4-1 on the season with wins over Elon, Georgia State, Coastal Carolina. North Florida is led by Lauren Hopfensperger's three tallies, while Denisse Soltero has two tallies and two assists to tie for a team-leading six points.
The Spiders continue road play with American next Saturday, Sept. 24 at 3:00 p.m.
