OLEAN, N.Y. -- Richmond fell at St. Bonaventure, 75-59, Wednesday night at the Reilly Center in Olean, N.Y.
The Spiders fell to 14-4 and 2-2 overall. The Bonnies improved to 17-2, 4-0.
The game was basket-for-basket for much of the first frame and Okoro capitalized with her advantage inside. Okoro kept Richmond on her back with 16 first-half points, off 5-for-10 shooting from the field.
The game was 20-all at at the 6:54 mark, but St. Bonaventure pieced together an 18-8 run to close the half to take a 38-28 lead into the break.
The advantage hovered around a 10 point Bonnie lead for the majority of the second frame but it looked as though Richmond might turn the corner when two-sport athlete Becca Wann drilled a top-of-the-key three to get Richmond to within 64-55 with 5:16 left.
St. Bonaventure scored in the ensuing possession to take away the Spiders' momentum.
Okoro led Richmond with 21 points and 12 boards. It was the seventh career double-double for Okoro, fifth this season.
Abby Oliver finished with 17, while Wann had seven points, six rebounds and three assists.
The Spiders host La Salle Saturday at 1 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.
