Shafer, Wann Join Mooney For Spider Sportsline Tue.

Join Coach Chris Mooney and his guests, women's basketball coach Michael Shafer and sophomore standout Becca Wann, for the live radio broadcast of the Spider Sportsline, which airs from Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, Tuesday, noon-1 p.m. on ESPN 950, RichmondSpiders.com and on Spider Mobile, the Richmond Athletics App available on Android and iPhone.
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend, enjoy lunch, and talk Spider and college basketball with Coach Mooney and host Bob Black. Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-349-0950 or 233-7680. Emails can be sent anytime to spidersportsline@richmond.edu and will be read on-the-air.
This week's show will include a recap of the non-conference portion of the men's and women's schedule and a preview of conference play. The defending Atlantic 10 champion men's team, winners of three of the past four games, is 9-6 heading into its A-10 opener Wednesday at Charlotte (7:30pm).
The surging women, winners of six straight, just completed a two-game sweep at the Lehigh Christmas Classic where Wann was named MVP. Coach Shafer's team, 12-2, is preparing for Saturday's A-10 opener at the Robins Center against Temple (7pm).
Throughout the season, new interactive features will be added to the show, including ticket giveaways and prizes.
Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, is the home of The Spider Sportsline throughout the football and basketball seasons. Outback is open for lunch seven days a week at 11:30 a.m. and offers daily lunch specials.
