Spiders Travel To Dayton, Xavier This Weekend

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond concludes its regular season at Dayton and Xavier this weekend. The Spiders battle Dayton tonight at 7:30 p.m. and Xavier Sunday at 1 p.m.
Richmond Lately: The Spiders dropped a 3-1 decision to cross-town rival VCU last Friday at Sports Backers Stadium. Kristen Lybert scored her first collegiate goal in the loss. Richmond enters Friday's game against the 7-8-1, 3-3-1 overall. Richmond's 10 points is tied for seventh in the standings going into the final weekend of regular season play. Becca Wann leads all Spiders with 14 points (7g).
Dayton Lately: The Flyers come into Friday's game with a 12-4, 6-1 record. Dayton has already clinched a spot in next week's A-10 Tournament. The Flyers are led by Colleen Williams who leads the A-10 in shots (109), points (42) and goals (15).
Xavier Lately: The Musketeers are 6-10-1, 1-6-0 overall and host the VCU Rams before Richmond Sunday. Xavier is led by Mariah Whitaker's nine points. (3g, 3a). Last year, Richmond battled Xavier to a scoreless draw at Robins Stadium.
Up Next: The A-10 Tournament will commence on the campus of the University of Rhode Island Nov. 1-4 with the winner of the championship earning an automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
