Men's Basketball Returns To Kansas Tuesday On ESPN2

LAWRENCE, Kansas - Richmond returns to the site of one of the biggest wins in school history, facing Kansas at legendary Phog Allen Fieldhouse on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
Richmond is 9-2, off to its best start in 25 years, while Kansas is 8-1, having won seven-straight games. The series is tied 1-1 with Richmond winning the only meeting at Phog Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas defeated the Spiders in the 2011 Sweet 16.

• The Spiders return to legendary Phog Allen Fieldhouse 9 years after defeating the No. 10 ranked Jayhawks to snap a 52-game non-conference winning streak against unranked opponents. Mike Skrocki scored 23 points and Tony Dobbins hit a turnaround jumper with under a second remaining as the Spiders shocked the sellout crowd and ESPN2 national TV audience on Jan. 22, 2004. That Spider team entered Phog Allen with a 9-8 record, but used the win to close the season strong and earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
• Richmond's win at Phog Allen is one of just 7 home losses for Bill Self during his 10 seasons at KU. Kansas is 150-7 in Phog Allen Fieldhouse under Self and the Jayhawks have won 60 straight non-conference home games.
• The Spiders are 12-7 in their last 19 games against BCS conference teams and Chris Mooney has 17 wins over BCS conference teams in 9 years as a D-I head coach, including 15 in 8 seasons at Richmond.
