Wann Tabbed To VaSID All-State First Team

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Dual sport athlete Becca Wann was named to the 2012 Virginia Sports Information Director's All-State first team announced Wednesday.
Wann was tabbed to the A-10 All Conference second team after scoring seven goals in 11 games this season. Wann missed the first half of her junior campaign as she competed on the U-20 Women's National Team in Japan, for which she won a gold medal.
Wann led Richmond in goals (7), game-winning goals (4) and points (15) this season. Her four game-winning goals ranked 35th in the nation.
Wann was tabbed to the 2012 Hermann Watch List this season, an award given to the nation's top men's and women's soccer athlete. Wann was also named a NSCAA Division I All-American last year. Wann was also selected to the College Sports Madness A-10 first team.
The Chesterfield, Va. native also plays basketball for the Spiders and was recently crowned the A-10 Player of the Week after averaging 17.0 ppg off the bench.
