Spiders Place Seventh At Pinehurst Intercollegiate

PINEHURST, N.C. - The University of Richmond Spiders men's golf team carded a final round team total of 290 (+16) to finish the Golf Pride Pinehurst Intercollegiate on Sunday afternoon in seventh place. Old Dominion won the tournament with a score of 871 (+19).
Leading the way for the Spiders was junior Nick Austin, who used a final round 69 (-2) to place in a tie for 14th overall with a three-round score of 220 (+7). The top-20 finish was the third this season for Austin. Senior Brad Miller finished just two strokes behind of his teammate, scoring a 222 (+9) to place in a tie for 21st.
Junior Daniel Walker ended the 54-hole tournament with a score of 223 (+10) to tie for 28th, while freshman Austin Romeo tied for 40th with a total of 227 (+14).
Rounding out the scoring for Richmond on the weekend was sophomore Jack Wilkes who tied for 55th with a score of 232 (+19). Playing as an individual, senior Jack Lessing tied for 44th after carding a three-round total of 228 (+15).
