Wo Men's Soccer Hosts Villanova In Home Opener

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond hosts Villanova Friday at 7 p.m. in its home opener at Robins Stadium.
Last Time Out: The Spiders dropped a 3-0 decision to William & Mary Wednesday night in Williamsburg. Goalkeeper Andrea Young turned away 11 Tribe shots in the first frame. Natalie LeClair led Richmond with three shots.
Richmond Lately: Richmond looks to win its first game of the season Friday night at Robins Stadium. Ashley Williams and Meghan Hayden have both one goal apiece. LeClair leads Richmond with 11 shots on the season. Young has 18 saves in goal.
Villanova Lately: The Wildcats come to Robins Stadium with a 1-2-1 record. Villanova dropped its last match to A-10 opponent, Saint Joseph's, 2-1, on Sunday. Four Wildcats have scored a goal apiece this season, with Heidi Sabatura leading Villanova with 10 shots.
Up Next: Richmond plays in the Virginia Tournament next weekend. The Spiders face James Madison Friday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. Richmond concludes tournament play with George Mason Sunday, Sept. 9 at 12 p.m.
