Wann, USA Win Gold At 2012 FIFA U-20 World Cup

(From ussoccer.com) TOKYO, Japan (Sept. 8, 2012) - The United States defeated defending champion Germany 1-0 in front of 31,114 fans to capture the 2012 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup on Saturday.

Becca Wann was one of 21 players that represented the U.S. at the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup held in Miyagi, Kobe, Saitama, Hiroshima and Tokyo, Japan from Aug. 19 through Sept. 8.

Wann spent the entire summer training with the team in California and Florida and was officially named to the team after the last domestic event in Bradenton, Fla.

Wann will rejoin the Spiders Sept. 14 at Old Dominion.
