Spiders Play At Old Dominion Friday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond travels to Norfolk for a 7 p.m. game against Old Dominion Friday night.
Last Time Out: Richmond split play at the Virginia Nike Classic last weekend in Charlottesville. The Spiders edged James Madison, 1-0, Friday after freshman Darian Podmajersky scored in the 88th minute. The Spiders fell to George Mason, 3-1, Sunday afternoon. Shondel Archer scored for Richmond in the 66th minute.
Becca Wann returns to the pitch Friday for the Spiders after spending the last month in Japan with the U-20 Women's National Team. Wann returned to the United States with a gold medal after the Women's National Team defeated Germany, 1-0, on Saturday.
Old Dominion Lately: The Lady Monarchs are coming off a 6-1 win over VMI that improved their record to 2-4 on the season. Old Dominion has scored nine goals on the season, with Amber Cook leading the team with three tallies. Goalkeeper Brianna Alvarado has 28 saves on the season.
Up Next: Richmond hosts American on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. at Robins Stadium.
