Wo Men's Soccer Opens A-10 Play Friday At GW

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond plays at GW Friday at 4 p.m. in the first conference game of the season.
Richmond Lately: Richmond, winners of four of its last five games, travels to GW and Charlotte to open A-10 play this weekend. Since her return, Wann has accounted for each of the Spider scores in the last two games. (Four goals). The Spiders most recently shut out American, 2-0, last Friday at Robins Stadium. Violet Miller and Ashley Williams both had assists. Wann leads Richmond with eight points. The Spiders come into Friday's game with a 4-5-0 mark.
GW Lately: The Colonials are coming off a 2-0 win over Howard last Friday. GW is 4-4-1 on the season and is led by Kristi Abbate and Alex Neal's five points. Three Colonials have scored twice this season. GW is unbeaten at home, bringing a 3-0-1 mark into Friday's match.
Last Time Out: The Spiders edged GW, 1-0, last October in D.C. Natalie LeClair scored the game-winner in the 65th minute.
Up Next: Richmond travels to Charlotte for a 1 p.m. match Sunday.
