Spiders Play In Virginia Nike Classic This Weekend

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond plays in the Virginia Tournament this weekend in Charlottesville, Va.
Last Time Out: Richmond dominated Villanova, 3-1, Friday night at Robins Stadium in its home opener. Violet Miller, Dana Bernetich and Natalie LeClair all scored. The tallies were career-firsts for Miller and Bernetich. The three goals scored was as season-high and the win marked Richmond's first of the season.
James Madison Lately: The Spiders begin the tournament against the Dukes Friday at 2 p.m. Madison comes into the weekend with a 2-1-0 mark, led by Kelly Germain's four points (1g, 2a). JMU took last year's matchup, 2-0, in Harrisonburg.
George Mason Lately: Richmond concludes action Sunday at noon against the Patriots. George Mason and the Spiders tied 1-1, last August at the Penn State Invitational. LeClair had the score for Richmond.
Up Next: The Spiders travel to Old Dominion Sept. 14 for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
