Spiders Finish Ninth At Temple Invitational

PHILDELPHIA, Pa. -- The Richmond men's golf team finished ninth at the Temple Invitational at the Philmont Country Club.
The Spiders were in fourth place after shooting a 290 in Saturday's first round, but followed that up with a 302 on Sunday to finish at 592.
Senior Jack Wilkes, junior Danny Pizetoski and freshman Keegan Hoff all tied for 24th at 7-over-par 147 in the 36-hole two-day tournament.
Wilkes opened the tournament with an even-par 70, the Spiders' low round of the tournament. Pizetoski and Hoff both carded opening round 73s and second-round 74s.
Junior Colin McDade tied for 50th at 11-over 151 (74-77) and junior Austin Romeo tied for 62nd at 13-over 153 (74-79).
Richmond placed ninth out of 16 teams, finishing ahead of Princeton, Rhode Island, La Salle, Cornell, Dartmouth, St. Joseph's, Brown and Fordham.
The Spiders finish the fall season at the Wendy's Kiawah Classic, Nov. 3-5 at Kiawah Island, S.C.
