Spiders Finish Sixth At Wendy's Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Richmond women's golf team finished sixth at the Charleston Wendy's Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Lauren Conder led Richmond with a cumulative 223 (+7) for the tournament. Conder shot a 75 (+3), 73 (+1), 75 (+3) in the Invitational, tying for third overall. The third-place finish for Conder was her first top-10 finish of the season, and team-leading third top-20 finish. Conder's seven-over par tournament finish was a career-best.
Sophomore Jessica Lydia followed Conder with a cumulative 224 (+8) after shooting a team-low 71 (-1) in the second round. Lydia placed eighth overall, marking her first top-10 finish of the season, second top-20 finish.
Elizabeth Rubino and Krystin Schwarze tied with a cumulative 241 (+25) tying for 44th place. Tiara Baskerville rounded out the Richmond lineup with a 252 (+36) at the tournament.
The 13-team tournament was comprised mostly of southern schools and was hosted by the College of Charleston at the Rivertowne Country Club in Charleston, S.C.
The Spiders conclude fall play at the Fighting Camel Classic Oct. 21-22 at Buies Creek, N.C.
