Team Notes
- Richmond defeated back-to-back ranked opponents for the first time since the 2009 season, when the Spiders beat William & Mary in the regular season finale and Elon in the FCS playoffs.
- In his eight seasons as a head coach, the Spiders' Danny Rocco has posted a record of 21-4 (.840) in the month of November. At Richmond, Rocco is 7-0 in the month, including a perfect 3-0 mark in 2012.
- Richmond's 24 points in the first half matches the most William & Mary has given up in the first half.
- This is the second straight game Richmond has scored over 20 points in the first 30 minutes.
- The Spiders are 47-8 since 2005 when scoring 30+ points and 9-4 under Coach Rocco.
- Richmond finished the season ranking in almost every team single season statistic. The Spiders finished sixth in points (332), third in total yards (5297), second in first downs (299), first in passing yards (3939) and first in passing first downs (188).
Player Notes
- QB Michael Strauss set single-season records for completions (41), attempts (64), yards (543) and touchdowns (5) this season.
- WR Stephen Barnette sets a new school record with 1189 receiving yards on the season.
- K Brandon Jordi tied the single-season school record with 18 field goals and his 82 points ranks fifth all-time as he was 1-of-1 on the day.
- DB David Herlocker recorded Richmond's first blocked punt of the season, which led to a 22-yard field goal going into halftime.
- FB Seth Fisher recorded his first career 100-yard rushing game with 23 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns. He was also named 2013 Capital Cup MVP.
- DB Justin Grant recorded his third interception of the season. That brings Richmond's total to 17 on the season, which leads the CAA.
