Following a two-week holiday break, the Spider Sportsline with men's basketball coach Chris Mooney, returns to its new home, Flinn's Restaurant, 403 N. Ridge Road in the Tuckahoe Shopping Center this Monday, Jan. 6, from 5:30-6:30pm.
Former Spider standouts Ryan Butler and Kevin Smith will give listeners and fans a behind-the-scenes experience of Spider Basketball in their new roles of the Directors of Basketball Operations for the men's basketball program.
The popular, live radio show, featuring Coach Mooney, host Bob Black, and their special guests, can be heard on ESPN 950, RichmondSpiders.com and on the free Spider Mobile App available on iPad, iPhone and Android. Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend, enjoy Flinn's food and beverage menu, and talk Spider and college basketball. Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-345-0950 or 233-7680. Emails can be sent anytime to spidersportsline@richmond.edu and will be read on-the-air.
Monday's show includes a review of the now-completed non-conference portion of the Spiders' schedule, and a look ahead to the start of Atlantic 10 Conference play, which tips off Wednesday night at St. Bonaventure.
Flinn's Restaurant, offering affordable dining in a family-friendly atmosphere, is the home of the Spider Sportsline throughout the basketball season. On Monday nights, Flinn's offers its Spider Sportsline Special – baked spaghetti with salad – for just $6. Flinn's is open seven days a week, including brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
The Spider Sportsline with Coach Chris Mooney will air live from Flinn's every Monday from 5:30-6:30pm for the remainder of the college basketball season.
