School Record TV Appearances Set For Men's Basketball

Television's bright lights will shine brighter and more often than ever before on the men's basketball team this season, with at least 25 telecasts on national, regional and local outlets. The television schedule begins with Friday's season opener at the New Robins Center airing on WTVR digital channel 6.3. A chart of television appearances is listed below.
The Spiders will appear on national networks ESPN, NBC Sports Network and CBS Sports Network ten times. Regional sports networks will carry nine Richmond games, while local CBS affiliate WTVR Channel 6 and digital channel 6.3 will carry nine telecasts.
SpiderTV will produce three games that will appear locally on WTVR digital channel 6.3 in Richmond and regionally on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic or CSN-MA+. The first of those telecasts is Monday, when the Spiders host Belmont at 7pm on CSN and digital channel 6.3.
In addition, the Spiders' game at Air Force Wed. Nov. 27 (9 p.m. ET) will be live video streamed at no charge on the Mountain West Digital Network.
The Spiders' partnership with local CBS affiliate WTVR has been enhanced to include not only more telecasts, but additional programming. A special pre-game show, The Lumber Liquidators Countdown To Tipoff, will air 15 minutes prior to 14 of the Spiders' 16 home games on digital channel 6.3.
SpiderTV will produce the local telecasts, which will also be live video streamed and available on the A10 Digital Network on computer, iPhone, Android and iPad. To access mobile live video streaming, viewers should download the free Atlantic 10 app available in the App Store and Google Play. A SpiderTV subscription is required to watch live video events, and television blackouts may apply for national telecasts. Live video streaming will be available when games are televised locally and regionally.
Additinal telecasts and outlets may be added throughout the season.
