Spiders Play At Wake Forest Saturday On ESPN3

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Richmond looks for its fourth-straight win over Wake Forest when the longtime rival continues Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Joel Coliseum in a game broadcast on ESPN3.
The Spiders are 7-2 on the season, having won four-straight, three of which were away from home.
The Demon Deacons (7-2) returned from the Battle 4 Atlantis with a victory over Tulane that moved Wake Forest to 6-0 at home this season. Codi Miller-McIntyre leads the team in scoring at 17.0 points per game. Richmond native and Robert Morris transfer Coron Williams is second on the team in scoring, coming off the bench at 12.1 points per game. He has scored in double-figures in 7 straight games. Richmond native Travis McKie is fourth on the team in scoring at 10.7 ppg.

• Richmond will look for its fourth-straight win over Wake Forest and second-straight at Joel Coliseum. This is the Spiders' second game against an ACC team this season. Richmond led nationally ranked North Carolina for most of the first and only trailed by with under 4 minutes to go in the semifinals of the Hall of Fame Tipoff.
• Richmond has won 12 of the last 22 games against BCS conference teams and Chris Mooney has 17 wins over BCS conference teams in 10 years as a D-I head coach, including 15 in 9 seasons at Richmond. The Spiders have defeated a team from all 6 BCS conferences in Mooney's tenure, including multiple wins against the Big East (5), ACC (4) and SEC (3). Richmond has won 3 of the last 4 vs. the ACC and has defeated an ACC team in 4 of the last 6 seasons.

• Senior Cedrick Lindsay scored 22 points in the win over William & Mary on Wednesday, moving into 36th on Richmond's all-time scoring list with 1,056 points. He is just 8 points from moving into 34th (see chart on page 3). Lindsay has scored in double-figures in 8 of 9 games this season, including a career-high 29 points against UNC. He leads the Spiders and is fourth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 18.2 points per game. Lindsay has scored in double-figures in 19 of the last 23 games, has scored at least 19 points in 11 of the last 20 games and at least 20 points in 9 of the last 20 games. Lindsay is averaging 17.3 points per game in his last 20 contests. He needs just 4 assists to tie Jeff Meyers for 10th on Richmond's career list for assists.
• Richmond's sophomore big men are having a solid start to the season. Terry Allen is third on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game and leads the Spiders in rebounding at 6.8 boards per game. Alonzo Nelson-Ododa is fourth on the team in scoring at 7.4 ppg, second in rebounding at 6.0 rpg, and third in the A-10 in blocks at 2.0 per game. Trey Davis is averaging 4.9 ppg and 5.9 rpg and Deion Taylor had 9 points in the win over William & Mary on Wednesday.
• Junior Kendall Anthony made 5 threes vs. W&M and now has 149 career three-pointers, just 2 from trying Jermaine Bucknor for 10th on Richmond's all-time career list. Anthony is currently third on Richmond's all-time list for career three-point percentage at .413.
