Richmond Begins Play At C&F Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team began play at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, battling cold and rainy conditions to shoot a first round score of 311 (+27) to sit in fifth place. Boston College leads the 28-team tournament with a total of 302 (+18).
Senior Tracy Martin led a strong performance from the Spiders on Sunday afternoon, carding a 75 (+4) to tie for sixth place after the first round. Sophomore Eliza Breed continued her strong play, shooting a 77 (+6) to sit in a tie for 15th.
Tying for 20th place after the first 18 holes was senior Caroline Lovette, who carded a 78 (+7). Classmate Courtney Rousse is tied for 54th with a score of 81 (+10), while junior Lauren Conder is tied for 85th place with a total of 83 (+12).
The Richmond Spiders women's golf team will play the second of three rounds at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate on Monday morning in Williamsburg.
