Spiders Place Second At C&F Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team placed second overall at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, carding a two-round total of 609 (+41). Boston College won the 28-team tournament with a score of 598 (+30).
With team scores of 311-298, the Spiders earned their fourth top-five finish this season and their sixth top-10 finish out of the seven events played so far this season.
Senior Tracy Martin continued her great stretch, notching her fourth-straight top-10 finish, placing in a tie for fifth with a total of 149 (+7). Martin played consistent despite the suspension of play on Monday, carding scores of 75-74.
Earning her fifth top-20 of the year, senior Caroline Lovette tied for 15th place with a score of 153 (+11). Sophomore Eliza Breed tied for 21st place, shooting rounds of 77-77 to end the tournament with a total of 154 (+12).
Senior Courtney Rousse finished in a tie for 29th with a score of 156 (+14), while junior Lauren Conder tied for 38th with a total of 157 (+15).
The Richmond Spiders women's golf team will be back on the course on April 1-2, when the team heads to North Carolina to play in the Pinehurst Challenge.
