WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders men's golf team finished up the rain-shortened C&F Bank Intercollegiate on Tuesday, placing in a tie for 11th with a total of 296 (+16).
The tournament, originally scheduled for three rounds, was shortened to just one after the snowstorm that came through the region on Sunday night. Tennessee won the 32-team event with a score of 285 (+5).
Leading the way for the Spiders at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate was freshman John David Sanderson, who notched his second top-20 of the season with season-low score of 71 (+1). Sanderson tied for 14th place overall at the tournament, his second-best showing of the season.
Senior Nick Austin and freshman David Germann each carded rounds of 74 (+4) to tie for 40th place, while senior Daniel Walker and sophomore Danny Pizetoski shot scores of 77 (+7) to tie for 91st.
