Dunbar and Kandinata Named A-10 Performers of Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- Ethan Dunbar and Melissa Kandinata earned A-10 Performer of the Week honors for their stellar performances as announced by conference office on Tuesday.
Dunbar earned the award after going undefeated last week in doubles and singles action. Dunbar pulled out wins against George Mason, Charlotte, and North Carolina at the No. 1 position. He currently is on a four match win streak, with a spring record of 13-5 this spring and 5-2 in conference play.
The award is Dunbar's first in the 2012-13 season, but the second conference nod in his career. Last season he earned A-10 Co-Rookie of the Week.
On the women's side, Kandinata picked up her second A-10 Performer of the Week nod this season. Kandinata led the Spider charge to victory over East Carolina and UMBC with wins at the No. 1 position. Her win over UMBC was her fourth consecutive win.
