Spiders Wrap Up Meet At Larry Ellis Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J.- The Spider track and field team wrapped the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton on Saturday.
The 4x100 meter relay comprised of Mary Allen, Janel Francis, Jade Gregory, and Amber Young took fifth in the first section and seventh overall with a time of 47.88
Alyson McGonigle finished fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:11.40, while teammate Lydia Morton clocked in at 2:17.76.
Clare Moretz finished third overall in the 1500m with a time of 4:30.16. Moretz dropped fourteen seconds off her season best. Kelly Bailey took 12th with a time of 4:39.15 Bailey dropped six seconds off her season best time. Stephanie Paradis clocked in with a time of 4:34.50 in the 1500m elite event to finish 23rd overall.
Liz Schinski ran the 3000m steeplechase in 11:00.89
Alexis Williams clocked in with a time of 59.05 in the 400m dash. Williams shaved a half second off her season best mark.
Amber Young finished the 400m hurdles in 1:02.67.
Mary Allen hit a personal best time of 24.29 in the 200 meter dash to earn fourth overall. Fellow Spider Jade Gregory finished the even tin 25.28.
Jill Prentice finished 15th overall with a time of 17:00.02 in the 5000m and freshman Tara Hanley clocked in with a time 17:49.17.
In field events, continued her success in the long jump with a mark of 5.75m. The mark is her longest of the season.
On the men's side four Spiders competed in the 1500m. Matthew Barudin led the pack with a 30th place finish and time of 4:02.40. Barudin shaved nine seconds off his previous season best finish. Paul Myer clocked in at 4:06.12, Patrick Love finished in 4:09.48, and Matthew McKenna rounded out the event with a time of 4:10.90.
