Richmond In Fifth Place At A-10 Championship

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The University of Richmond Spiders men's golf team continued play at the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday, carding a second round total of 292 (+4) to end the second day in fifth place with a two-round total of 583 (+7). Charlotte leads the 13-team conference championship with a score of 563 (-13).
Sophomore Colin McDade was great for the Spiders on Saturday, carding a second round score of 70 (-2) to make a surge up the leaderboard, ending the day in a tie for ninth place with a score of 143 (-1). The under-par round was the fifth this season for McDade.
Freshman David Germann continued his strong play on Saturday, shooting a 73 (+1) after totaling a 71 (-1) on Friday. Germann will enter the final round on Sunday in a tie for 12th place with a score of 144 (E).
Senior Daniel Walker is tied for 23rd place after 36 holes with a score of 147 (+3), while classmate Nick Austin is tied for 36th with a total of 149 (+5). Rounding out Richmond's effort was junior Jack Wilkes, who is tied for 44th with a total of 152 (+8).
The Richmond Spiders men's golf team will conclude play at the Atlantic 10 Championship on Sunday. Live stats for the event can be found at RichmondSpiders.com.
