Rocco Adds Carl Kotz To Richmond Football Staff

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond Spiders head football coach Danny Rocco announced the addition of Carl Kotz to his staff as the Director of Football Operations.
“We are very excited to announce the hiring of Carl Kotz to the position of Director of Football Operations,” Rocco remarked. “Carl has enjoyed a wide range of experiences making him the perfect selection to join the Spiders staff. Carl gained valuable experience as both a student assistant as well as a graduate assistant at Clemson University, working directly with recruiting as well as day-to-day operations. Carl was also on staff at the University of Connecticut with a prominent position within their recruiting department. We look forward to having Carl on board starting July 1.”
In his role at Richmond, Kotz will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the football office, the coordination of team travel and acts as a liaison to all university departments. He will also help manage the team's community out-reach programs, while assisting with football camps and clinics as well as serving as the team's pro liaison.
Previous to Richmond, Kotz worked at Clemson University, the University of Connecticut and with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
At Clemson, Kotz worked not only with the football program as an Assistant Recruiting Coordinator, but also as an Executive Program Director. While with Connecticut, Kotz was a Recruiting and Football Operations Assistant, helping to manage the day-to-day operations of the Huskies' football program.
With the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kotz managed all aspects of team travel, salary cap database and training camp operations for two years.
