Wo Men's Golf Announces Fall Schedule

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Head coach Maggie Will announced the 2013 fall schedule for the Richmond women's golf team Monday.
“I'm really happy with our fall schedule,” commented Will. “We have a chance to repeat as defending champions of the Charleston Wendy's Classic in Rivertown and the event at UNCG is always a great one. I'm happy to be playing near home at the William & Mary Invitational and playing in the always competitive Fighting Camel Classic will help our rankings.”
Richmond begins its 2013 schedule at the William & Mary Invitational Sept. 15-17 in Williamsburg, Va. From there, the Spiders compete in the Starmount Fall Classic in Greensboro, N.C. Sept. 30-Oct.1. Richmond then travels to the Charleston Southern Wendy's Invitational Oc. 7-8 in Charleston, S.C. before rounding out its last tournament of the fall at Buies Creek, N.C. in the Fighting Camel Classic Oct. 21-22.
The Spiders return eight letterwinners, including four upperclassmen to the roster. Will welcomes two freshmen and transfer Jessica Lydia to this year's lineup.
Richmond posted a breakout season last year, winning two tournaments in the same season for the first time in program history. Additionally, Richmond totaled six top-five finishes and eight top-10 finishes while carding eight of the best 11 single-round scores in program history.
