Richmond Plays At No. 21 West Virginia Friday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond women's soccer team travels to Morgantown, W. Va. to battle No. 21 West Virginia Friday at 7 p.m.
Richmond Lately
The Spiders are coming off 1-0-1 weekend at the VCU Tournament. Richmond dominated Campbell, 2-0, in the opening game of competition with Erin Layne and Shannon Colligan notching goals. Layne scored at the 33:19 mark off a feed from Darian Podmajersky to give Richmond the 1-0 advantage. Colligan added the insurance score in the 77th minute when she netted a goal off a rebound shot from Ashley Williams. The Spiders battled Maine to a scoreless draw Sunday.
Scouting West Virginia
The No. 21 Lady Mountaineers dropped 11 spots in the national poll after falling to unranked Kentucky last week. West Virginia beat Eastern Kentucky before facing the Wildcats. Kate Schwindel and Frances Silva lead the Mountaineers with five goals apiece.
