Team Notes
- With the victory, Richmond improved its record in non-conference, regular-season FCS games to 18-1 since the beginning of the 2005 season.
- Head coach Danny Rocco improved to 30-6 against Big South opponents with Richmond's win over Liberty. Rocco is now 4-1 against the Big South in his two seasons as head coach of the Spiders.
- With DB Wayne Pettus' interception in the fourth quarter, Richmond extended its streak of games with at least one interception to 14 games. Over that stretch, the Spiders have totaled 31 interceptions.
- The Spiders also improved to 6-0 in night games at Robins Stadium.
- Richmond is now 57-6 when leading at halftime since the beginning of the 2004 season.
- The Spiders also improved to 44-6 since the start of the 2005 season when scoring 30 or more points.
Player Notes
- With WR Ben Edwards' nine receptions Saturday, he moved up to sixth place on Richmond's career receptions list with 155.
- RB Jacobi Green set career highs in rushing attempts (24) and total yards (184), while tying his career long of 53 yards.
- LB Walt Sparks set a career-high 14 tackles and recorded his first tackle for a loss and forced fumble.
- Edwards notched his fourth-career 100-plus yard receiving game and the first of his season as he finished with 101 yards.
- Pettus blocked his first-career field goal in the third quarter, which was the first blocked field goal since Nov. 19, 2011 versus William & Mary.
- Edwards rushed for an eight-yard touchdown, the first of his career, in the third quarter.
- Sparks forced his first fumble in the third quarter, while DL Evan Kelly recovered it for the second of his career.
- Green is the first 100-plus rusher for the Spiders in a game since the win over No. 2 James Madison on Oct. 20, 2012.
- Green's five-yard run in the second quarter bumped his total to 101, which set a career high.
- RB T.J. Moon's 17-yard rush late in the second quarter set a career-high.
- The two-yard touchdown run from Moon in the first quarter was his first-career rushing TD.
- Green's 53-yard run in the first quarter matches his career high.
