Women's Soccer At American Wednesday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Playing in its seventh-straight away game, Richmond visits American Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the nation's capital.
Scouting Richmond
Despite a strong first-half effort, Richmond (2-5-2) fell at No. 21 West Virginia, 2-0, Friday in Morgantown. The Spiders turned away 10 first-half shots before the Moutaineers found the back of the net in the game's 62nd minute. A goal in the 76th minute would seal the win. Erin Layne, Kaleigh Kurtz, Crystal Koczot and Darian Podmajersky each had a shot.
American Lately
The American Eagles come into Wednesday's game with a 3-6 mark, having recently won its Patriot League opener against Lehigh, 1-0, on Saturday. Erin Mulhern provided the score. American has scored six goals on the season with Lindsay Murri and Marley Jennings recording a team-high two goals apiece. Goalkeeper Charlene Berlanger has 35 saves on the season. The Eagles are 2-2 at home.
