RS.com: Why did you choose Richmond?
Zak Sterling: Academics were always my first priority. Baseball sets you up to have fun but a college sets you up for life.
RS: Three words that describe you best…
ZS: Competitive, persuasive, gamer
RS: Favorite MLB team?
ZS: Baltimore Orioles
RS: Favorite MLB player of all-time?
ZS: Alex Rodriguez
RS: What is your dream job?
ZS: Defensive Coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens.
RS: Any pregame superstitions?
ZS: Before I step on the mound I thank god for the gift he has given me.
RS: One thing most people don't know about you?
ZS: I'm the best Madden player on the East coast.
RS: Biggest accomplishment?
ZS: Being named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American.
RS: Best piece of advice you've been given by a coach?
ZS: Momma said there'd be days like this.
RS: Best memory from playing little league?
ZS: When I pitched a complete game, striking out every batter.
