UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders baseball team begins the 2014 season at the North Florida Tournament on February 14.
Leading up the Opening Day, RichmondSpiders.com will introduce Spider fans to all 30 Richmond players as well as the coaching staff with the “Meet the Spiders” series.

RS.com: Why did you choose Richmond?
Ryan Donnelly: I fell in love with the school and the baseball program on my visit. After that, I couldn't see myself being anywhere else.

RD: Creative, intelligent, determined
RS: Favorite MLB team?
RD: Philadelphia Phillies
RS: Favorite MLB player of all-time?
RD: Pat Burrell
RS: What is your dream job?
RD: MLB pitcher or music producer
RS: Any pregame superstitions?
RD: No pregame superstitions
RS: One thing most people don't know about you?
RD: Frogs are my favorite animals.
RS: Biggest accomplishment?
RD: Becoming a Richmond Spider.
RS: Best piece of advice you've been given by a coach?
RD: When you're under pressure, take a deep breath and relax.
RS: Best memory from playing little league?
RD: Winning the nine-year old district championship. I got the last groundball at first base and jumped on the bag to make the last out of the game.
