Elsa Diaz Paces Spiders At Lady Pirate Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Freshman Elsa Diaz continued to show promise in her young career as she led Richmond women's golf in the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.
The Spiders finished tied for 15th with an overall score of +76.
Diaz shot 75-73-75 for an overall score of +7, with her 73 going down as her career-best round and the best round of any Spider this season. She finished tied for 11th for the tournament.
Elsa's older sister, Sara Diaz, tied for second on the team with a tournament score of 79-76-77=232 for +16. Junior Jessica Lydia also shot a +16 after going 78-78-77=232.
Fellow junior Kira Kuhnert rounded out the scoring four with a score of 82-79-91=252 to finish +36. Sophomore Maria Pons Cano shot 88-91-95=274.
Richmond finishes the fall schedule at the Delaware Invitational on Oct. 25.
