Did You Know...
• This past spring, Cicconi spent a semester studying abroad in Spain, taking classes at Pompeu Fabra in international finance, corporate finance and Spanish. When she landed, she needed to convert her money and get a ride to where she was staying. That was the moment when she realised she was totally alone in another country. "Sometimes people have to help out people," she said. "That's my new motto." She claimed to get the "coolest taxi driver ever" who showed her around a little while getting her to where she needed to be. "I met a lot of people who I will never forget. I had a lot of experiences that changed my life and I have become a better person for it." She played with a local soccer team and watched a lot of soccer during her time there. She also got to travel to Amsterdam, Belgium, Prague and all throughout Spain.
• Cicconi played baseball until high school and played soccer since the age of five.Along with soccer, she was a varsity basketball and track performer in high school. Her mom immigated from El Salvador and met her father in the Northeast while they were studying in college.
• She secured a job with Ernst & Young as a financial consultant. She flew up to New York City and stayed in Times Square for a couple of days during fall preseason training for her interview. Her job will be advising banks, hedge funds, etc. on their business practices. There is a possibility for an international component to this job.
• She wants to backpack through either South America or Eastern Europe or travel to the Far East upon graduation and before starting her career as a financial consultant.
• "I am passionate about social activism and women in business and will want to eventually do something entrepreneurial."
