
Wo Men's Basketball Falls To Arkansas In Vegas

LAS VEGAS, N.V. – The Richmond women's basketball team fell to the Arkansas Razorbacks, 74-55, in the Spiders final game of the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout Saturday afternoon at South Point Arena.
The loss drops Richmond to 3-2 overall, while Arkansas improved to 6-0 on the season.
The Spiders were held to 36.7 percent from the field and were outrebounded 44-26.
Despite holding the Razorbacks to just 28.9 from the field in the first half, the Spiders fell behind in the first 20 minutes from Arkansas' second-chance points. The Razorbacks grabbed 12 offensive rebounds to outscore Richmond 14-4 in second chances to go into the half with a 33-24 lead.
After a 21-6 run to start the second half, Arkansas remained in control for the final 12 minutes.
The Spiders will return to the East Coast and will take on James Madison Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in Harrisonburg, Va.
