Former Spider Darien Brothers Signs In Spain

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND. – Former Richmond Spider Darien Brothers has signed to play with Spanish team, Ourense Termal, in Ourense, Spain.
This will mark Brothers' second season of professional basketball after finishing at Richmond in 2013. Last season, Brothers played for LEB Gold club, Melilla Baloncesto, where he averaged 10.2 points per game and 2.2 rebounds per game. He also played briefly in Hungary with Optika KC Szombathely.
Brothers scored 1,267 career points at Richmond, ranking 24th all-time. He was a third team All-Atlantic 10 recipient in 2012-13 and was a member of Richmond's two NCAA tournament teams in 2010 and 2011.
A Richmond native, Brothers still holds Richmond's record for most threes in a game with eight against Charlotte in 2013. That season, he finished with 84 threes to rank second all-time at UR.
