Women's Golf Coach Maggie Will Leaving After Spring Season
02/13/2014 | Women's Golf
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond head women's golf coach Maggie Will will not return following the completion of the 2014 spring season, the athletic department announced today.
“I look forward to coaching the team this spring season,” Will said. “I am thankful for the opportunity provided to me by this wonderful university at this time in my career. The University of Richmond will always hold a special place in my heart.”
During her two seasons at the helm of the Richmond program, Will was tabbed the 2012-13 CAA Coach of the Year after leading the Spiders to a pair of tournament wins in the same season for the first time in school history. Will guided the Spiders to six top-five finishes and eight top-10 finishes in 2012-13, as Richmond carded eight of the best 11 single-round scores in program history.
A national search will be conducted for Will's replacement.
