Anthony Named Atlantic 10 Player Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond junior Kendall Anthony is the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after averaging 22.0 points per game in two Spider wins.
Anthony led the Spiders in scoring in both games on the week as he earned his second Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor in the last four weeks. He scored 20 points in a 75-58 road win at Duquesne on Wednesday and then scored 24 points in a home win over Fordham on Saturday.
The Jackson, Tenn. native made 11-of-28 field goals (.393) and six three pointers, along with all 16 of his free-throw attempts.
Anthony has scored at least 20 points in the last four games and is averaging 25.8 in that stretch. He leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring in conference play at 20.0 points per game.
The Spiders (17-8, 7-3 Atlantic 10) have won three-straight and are in third place in the league, a half game behind VCU for second place.
Richmond hosts George Washington (19-6, 7-4 Atlantic 10) Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in a nationally televised game on the NBC Sports Network.
