Track & Field Ends Weekend At A-10 Championships

KINGSTON, R.I. – The Richmond women's track and field team wrapped up the final day of action at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships Sunday.
Junior Deborah Fajuyigbe put together two strong performances on the day, finishing fifth with a personal record (56.52) in the 400m dash and third in the 200m with a time of 25.31. Sophomore Mary Allen finished right behind Fajuyigbe in the 200m (25.34), taking fourth.
After qualifying first in the 1000m run, junior Taylor Clevinger was able to claim third-place in the finals with a time of 2:55.72.
Freshman Marisa Ruskan continued to impress by taking seventh in the 3000m run and setting a new personal record (9:58.03).
After sneaking her way into the 500m finals, Jade Gregory took ninth, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:18.85.
Finishing the day for the Spiders was the 4x400 relay team. They claimed fourth-place (3:52.71), just two second behind third-place finisher Saint Louis.
The Spiders next meet is the Columbia Final Qualifier (March 7-8). This meet is the last chance to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
